Leek man charged after teenage girl allegedly struck in face with pellet

A Leek man has been charged in connection with an incident at Tittesworth Reservoir which left a teenage girl requiring surgery to her face.
14-year-old Faith Tatton was injured due to allegedly being struck in the face by a pellet at the reservoir in June 2020.
Police have today named the man, and explained that he is due in court next month.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "A man from Leek has been charged in connection with an incident at Tittesworth Reservoir in June 2020, which left a 14-year-old girl requiring surgery to her face.
"Craig Plant, aged 36, of Salisbury Street, in Leek has been charged with Section 20 grievous bodily harm and with perverting the course of justice. He's due to appear in court next month."
