Local residents have the chance to make their views known on local polling stations after Staffordshire Moorlands District Council announced a "mini review".

The authority is carrying out a mini review of polling stations across the district and has asked residents for their comments on their local polling stations.

Comments are sought on matters such as the buildings the stations are located in, their facilities and how easy they are for people with disabilities to access.

People have until 26th September to look through the documents and submit their comments.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Moorlands District Council said: "We're carrying out a Mini Review of Polling Districts, Polling Places and Polling Stations and would welcome the views of all residents, particularly disabled residents, or anyone with expertise in access for people with any type of disability, on the proposals.

"Before completing our questionnaire please make sure you read our consultation document and draft proposals document.

"The questionnaire should be submitted by 26 September 2022 using the following contact information:

"By post: Marion Hancock, Senior Elections Officer, Moorlands House, Stockwell Street, Leek ST13 6HQ

"By email: [email protected]"

To access the required information and submit your views please visit the district council's website here.
