Staffordshire Moorlands District Council has confirmed it will reopen toilets which were closed in May due to vandalism.
Repeated vandalism at the Leek Bus Station toilets resulted in the council having to close the toilets in May and they remain closed.
A sign on the toilet door says: "Toilets closed due to ongoing vandalism. Please use Silk Street toilets."
The authority said it has had to clean and repair them numerous times following anti-social behaviour, with the repair bill adding up to tens of thousands of pounds.
A spokesperson said: "Staffordshire Moorlands District Council has had to clean and repair the facilities on numerous occasions following anti-social behaviour incidents which have seen the amenities damaged or stolen and food and other litter left smeared on walls and floors.
"The cost of replacing damaged toilet roll holders and the rolls of toilet paper, together with cleaning and repairing damage caused to doors and locks, is now running into thousands of pounds – a cost that the council cannot sustain in the long term."
The most recent set of repairs follow a £100,000 refurbishment of the toilets, and a £20,000 bill for repairs after an arson attack on the female toilets.
Cllr James Aberley, cabinet member for customer services, said earlier this year: "These facilities are provided for the benefit of everyone but the continued, mindless actions of a few have left us with no choice but to close these toilets."
He added: "It's incredibly disappointing that the selfish actions of the minority have led to this and the council apologises for this closure to the vast majority of people who value, and look after, public amenities such as this."
An accessible toilet at the bus station is still be available to people who have a Radar key and there are alternative public toilets on Silk Street.
A spokesperson for the council confirmed it is hoping to reopen the toilets and is considering its options for doing so.
They declined to provide a date or give details of what measures they will take to prevent vandalism when the toilets are reopened.
