Many customers at a historic Leek chippy will be putting their last ever orders in over the next few days before it closes for the last time this weekend.

Ball Haye Green Quality Fish and Chips, at 123 Ball Haye Green in Leek, is closing for good on Saturday (6th August).

The chip shop has been a stalwart in Leek, and amazingly it has serving customers for over 100 years in the town.

But it is shutting permanently this weekend as its owner, Andy Salt, who has run the chippy for over 20 years, has decided to retire.

The chip shop boasts a five star hygiene rating and a 4.9 out of 5 star rating on Google Reviews, making it the top rated chippy in Leek on Google.

It's opening hours are from 11.30am - 1.30pm and then 4.30pm - 6.30pm from Tuesday to Saturday, with the same hours on Friday except staying open until 7pm. They are closed on Mondays and Sundays.
