Job of the Week: Maintenance Engineer

A Leek employer is looking for a maintenance engineer to join its fast-growing team.

Salary: £37,000 - £44,000 + Pension + Overtime

Continental Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off - 2 Day's/ 2 Night's - 7-7

The Company

An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of Europe's leading food manufacturers, a growing and supportive organisation. The Company are extremely well established with over 60 years of manufacturing experience and employ over 3,000 people across Europe. They are looking to expand their engineering team once again due to increased growth in their market share.

Key Skills

- Experience of PLC systems & Automated Machinery

- Understanding of PPM Systems

- Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

The Role

The ideal candidate will come from an electrical or mechanical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with either bias but multi-skilled and have fast moving manufacturing experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies.

If you have worked on PLC systems, it would be advantageous. On a day to day basis you will work on flow wrappers, thermo formers, metal detectors, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work and other associated manufacturing machinery.

There is a vast variety of machinery offer to work on, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
