"Perfectly placed on the outskirts of Newcastle-Under-Lyme our client is accessible, reputable and one of the leading meat and sausage providers in Europe.

"We are on the look out for 2 X Electrical Engineers to join the team. You will provide support to the overnight production teams and will be supported by both day engineers and the Head of the Engineering team. This is a modern and upbeat environment with opportunities for progression. The successful candidate for this role will have:"

- A good working knowledge of programmable logic controls and control systems

- The ability to respond promptly and effectively to breakdowns

- A knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance regimes

- Some mechanical knowledge (motors, gearboxes, pumps) would be advantageous but not essential

- Reliability

- A logical approach to fault finding and problem solving

Qualifications:

- City and Guilds Level 3 or ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship

- Experience of working in the food industry would be advantageous but not essential

Training:

- The successful applicants will spend time on the day shift familiarising themselves with our plant and machinery before moving to the night shift

- Ongoing support from our Head Engineer
