A business event has proved to be a boon for a charity and was a fitting tribute to a young woman whose life was claimed by cancer.

On Tuesday, 3 October Emma Hine from Leek hosted a business event, bringing 60 business owners from across the UK together for a day filled with personal and business growth.

'The Growth Event' was held at The Rudyard Hotel in Rudyard and was dedicated to her entrepreneurial daughter, Becky, who lost a very short battle to cancer in May this year, at just 31 years old.

Becky always said she would be a millionaire one day and her mum, Emma, as her biggest cheerleader had every confidence that it would happen.

Emma is determined to build a legacy in Becky's memory and The Growth Event is just the start.

Emma is a certified business strategist and founder of Emma Hine Strategy, having previously grown another seven-figure business that took over her life she is passionate about helping others to grow their business on their terms.

During the day Emma raised awareness for the work that a charity called Windmills, also based in Staffordshire, do whilst securing them support from a number of business owners to help the charity with much needed tasks such as website enhancements and building a better social media presence.

Windmills is a charity very close to Emma's heart, as they supported her two grandchildren following Becky's death, so much so Emma is now a trustee for them as she knows how much her business knowledge can help them to gain much needed funding.

More events will be arranged soon.
