Calling all beer fans! There will be a chance to enjoy a few pints alongside some live local sport at an upcoming beer fest in Leek this month.

Leek RUFC are hosting a beer festival from Friday 25th - Sunday 27th November.

There will be a wide variety of ales on offer, as well as hot food and two senior rugby matches to watch on the Saturday.

The festival kicks off on the Friday from 6pm, and continues from 12.30 pm on the Saturday, with Leek RUFC's first XV playing at 2.15pm.

The fun also continues on the Sunday from 12pm.

A spokesperson for the local rugby club said: "Clear some space out in your diaries for the last weekend in November.

"Starting on Friday 25th November and running through until Sunday 27th November we will be hosting our annual Beer Festival featuring a selection of 12+ guest ales from a cross the country.

"We'll also be serving hot food throughout the weekend and there will be plenty of rugby action to watch in between swigs.

"On Saturday the club will have 2 home fixtures with the 1st XV welcoming Leicestershire side Oadby Wyggestonians to Esterchem Park and the club will be showing the final weekend of the Autumn Nations Series on the big screens with two crackers as Wales play Australia and England play South Africa."
