Details confirmed for Cheddleton's famous Christmas pudding race 2022

Entries are now open for one of the most popular events in the Cheddleton calendar!

Details have been confirmed for the Cheddleton Christmas pudding race 2022.

The event involves a 10k race or an easier 2 mile fun run, and will be held this year on Saturday, 26th November.

There will be trophies for the fastest male and female runner, as well as prizes for all age categories, seasonal prizes, prizes for course records and Christmas puddings for all runners!

Proceeds for the event will go towards Cancer Research UK.

The race was set up by local farmer Stan Winterton and has since become a popular tradition in Cheddleton.

We reported previously how scooped a national award for his outstanding charity contributions, including for his creation of the legendary Cheddleton Pudding Run.

Encouraging people to take part in the 2022 race Stan said: "Entries are now being taken for the Pudding Race, with a 10K and 2 mile fun run. Puddings for all finishers and many seasonal prizes. Come along and enjoy the fun. All proceeds to Cancer Research."
