A popular countryside pub a few miles outside Leek has confirmed plans to reopen, to the delight of its customers.
The Jervis Arms in Onecote has closed and reopened several times in recent years and is currently closed, but this week revealed that it will be reopening in the next few weeks.
The aim is for the pub to reopen and phase in a food menu by the end of next month.
A spokesperson for the pub said on social media: "The rumours are true folks! We are finally reopening! The details are still being drawn up... food will be a big feature but will be a phased in towards the end of September.
"Please bear with us until we get some firm dates in the pipeline.
"We also have a lot of maintenance and re-decoration to complete before we reopen.
"We have had a few enquires about gift vouchers that were not previously redeemed, these will be honoured for anyone who still have them to spend."
They also added that they are currently looking to hire kitchen, front of house and waiting staff.
The social media post has been popular with fans of the pub, receiving hundreds of likes, comments and shares.
