Appeal for information after police officer assaulted in Leek

Police wish to speak to a man in relation to an officer assault in Leek.

Officers were called to High Street just before 1.30am on Saturday (20 August).

An officer reported being assaulted by a man. 

The officer sustained minor head injuries.

The offender was described as a white male, of a large build, and seen wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

He was seen heading in the direction of Sneyd Street, Leek, on foot after the incident.
