Co-operate is an online community centre bringing people in Leek together to make good things happen.

Whether you want to find things to do, volunteer, join a group or set up your own – it's for people who care about their community and want to join forces to get things done.

Co-operate helps build stronger communities where people are more connected. There are over 20,000 people, including 11,000 groups, sharing ways to get involved and support each other. Created with local communities, by local communities and for local communities.

You can find out about and get involved with local groups, such as Rotten Park Road, which helps to facilitate creative writing, film and theatre workshops geared towards younger people, and aims to help improve their creative, social and literacy skills and mental well-being.

The Co-op are also supporting The Rudyard Lake Trust, which is aiming to convert an ex-Navy Captain's boat from World War Two into an educational facility using modern technology. There's also Moorlands Radio Leek, which plans to install a new transmitter that will enable the radio station to broadcast to a wider listener base with a much clearer quality of signal.

You can use Co-operate to get free tips and advice from our 'How to' guides for example, how to start socialising again, how to create a gardening group and how to apply for funding.

You can also list or join local groups and activities, recruit volunteers or volunteer yourself.

Get involved at Co-operate.
